Jens Baekdal "Seven Summits" Climber

Jens is an highly experienced climber and will climb his fifth "Seven summits" mountain in January/February 2010.

The big challenge is this time the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Mount Kilimanjare rises 5896 meters on the African continent and is surely a impressive challenge.

Facts about the "Seven Summits" project so far:

Projekt I the climbing of Mount Elbrus 5.642 meter. Situated in Kaukasus. It is the highest mountain on the european continent. He was the first Dane to climb the mountain in juli 1990.

Projekt II the climbing of Mount Carstensz Pyramid 5.052 meter. Situated on New Guinea. The highest mountain on the Australian continent. Again he was the first Dane to climb the mountain in juli 2000.

Projekt III the climbing of Mt. Aconcagua 6.959 meter. The mountain is situated on the borders between Argentina and Chile on the South American continent. He climbed the mountain in december/januar 2001/2002.      

Projekt IV the climbing of Mt. Denali 6.194 meter. The mountain is also known as Mt. Mc. Kinley. and is one of the coldest mountains in the world. The mountian is situated in Alaska and is the highest mountain on the North American continent. He climbed the mountain may/june 2003.

Projekt V the climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro 5.896 meter on the African continent. Jan/Feb-2010


Jens will climb with equipment from Wiley X. He will use the SG-1, XL-1 and the Blink.

Para Skiing by Niklas Pedersen and Allan Stejlborg

Two crazy danes challeging the boundaries of skiing and parachuting.

This looks extremely dangerous, but like a whole lot of fun! We would definitely have to classify this under 'pretty extreme' just like the Wiley X glasses.

Para Skiing is the sport of jumping off high mountains wearing skis and a light parachute composed of inflatable fabric tubes that form a semirigid wing.

Juliane Elander Rasmussen

Juliane is a Danish national rower. Juliane has also participated in Danish national TV where she won “Stjernetræf” in a tough battle with other Danish athletes.

Peter Mikkelsen

The danish badminton professional - Peter Mikkelsen - has joined Team Wiley X. Peter is one of the most talented badminton players in Denmark and the ambitious young player is approaching the world elite. Peter Mikkelsen was placed as runner-up in the Danish Champinship 2009 by losing 20-22, 21-8, 21-11 to Peter Gade. In august Peter signed a contract with Kastrup-Magleby Badmintonklub which are represented in "Badmintonligaen".
